I was using Family Tree Legends on an old Windows XP PC. Now I have upgraded to a new PC running Windows 10. How can I import my .FTL data to the new version, which appears to now be a pay per month website "MyHeritage"?

Yes, you can convert your Family Tree Legends .FTL data file to GEDCOM format. You can use the Family Tree Legends software to export your data in GEDCOM format, which can then be imported into other genealogy software, including MyHeritage.
I have an earlier version of Family Tree Legends, v 4.05, running under Windows 7. Will I be able to upload my existing information to this latest version?

It all depends on the supported file formats that you can open after the application has been installed, but go ahead and download the Family Tree Legends application from the link posted below as it's still available.
After the software has been installed, go to File > Import or File > Open to see a list with the supported files. If you manage to find yours from previous version there, then you can open them in the new version as well.
I have a new laptop on Windows 8.1 and I'm about to install Windows 10. How can I load all my existing family info to the new PC?

Yes, you can load the info on a new PC. Family Tree Legends has also been renamed into MyHeritage. Their product related to Family Building is now called Family Tree Builder. The Tree Legends doesn't appear to be available anymore. In this case, you need to manually transfer the setup package on Windows 10, but before you do that, open the application and use File > Save AS or File > Export to create a copy of the database. Afterwards, transfer the software on Windows 10, right click it and choose Properties > Compatibility. From the drop down menu, select a prior version of Windows that worked for the application and apply the changes. Install it normally and then use File > Open or File > Import. Locate the copy of the database and that's it.
I'm trying to get access to the program Family Tree Legends, but a window displays a text stating "Cannot find import; DDL may be missing, corrupt, or wrong version. File ........, error 126". What should I do?

This happens when the files from the program are corrupted. Without touching any other files, I recommend immediate installation of the application. It doesn't matter if it's already installed, because the setup package will overwrite the system files needs to run the program. At the end of the procedure, reboot the PC and then launch the application again and it should work normally.
I have this program (Family Tree Legends) on my computer. Well, I upgraded my computer and now it is asking for a serial number to let me into my program. I do not have the serial number. But, now, I need it, as years of research is in my program on my computer. I would like to know how to get it back.

You can't get any serial for the Family Tree Legends application because the website which hosted the software isn't available anymore. Its developer is no longer in the business. However, there is a new product called MyHeritage. It's available as an online service and it comes as a follow up of the Family Tree Legends. You can access its website using the following URL: http://www.myheritage.com
Where can I find an app for Family Tree Legends please? I would like to run this on my Kindle Fire?

For Android, there is Ancestry available for installation. Ancestry is something similar to Family Tree Legends only that it's optimized for mobile devices running on Android platform.
